I started VAAHE because I wanted the spices in my kitchen to taste like the spices I grew up with.
Living in London, I ran out of the spices I had carried from home. The same trusted
brands were available on UK shelves, but the taste wasn't the same.
That difference made me look for an answer. The search took me back to India to the
farms where it all begins.
In Kerala and Rajasthan, I met the people growing India's spices and discovered the
real gap: the distance between the farmer and our kitchen. Layers of middlemen meant
the quality and identity of the spice often got lost along the way.
So I decided to close that distance.
